Chestnut Hill
Chestnut Hill is a neighborhood in Northwest Philadelphia. It is bounded by Germantown Avenue to the southwest, Rex Avenue to the northwest, Mermaid Lane to the northeast, and Willow Grove Avenue to the southeast. Chestnut Hill is known for its cobblestone streets and Victorian-style buildings. The Chestnut Hill Historic District, which includes parts of the neighborhood, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Chestnut Hill is home to several shops and restaurants as well as several parks, including Chestnut Hill Park and Mount Airy Park. The Chestnut Hill West train line runs through the neighborhood and is a historic landmark. Chestnut Hill is one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Philadelphia. Chestnut Hill is also home to a number of schools, including Chestnut Hill College and Springside Chestnut Hill Academy.
The Chestnut Hill West Line of the SEPTA regional rail system runs through the station, making it convenient for residents to commute into the city. In addition to its convenient location, Chestnut Hill offers residents a unique blend of urban and suburban living.
