East Kensington

East Kensington is a neighborhood located in North Philadelphia. Fishtown is to the East and South Kensington to the West.  The area is known for its affordable homes and close proximity to public transportation. The area is near the commercial section of Frankford Avenue.  East Kensington is an up-and-coming neighborhood with a lot of potential. The park has a playground, basketball courts, and a spray pool. Palmer Cemetery is one of the oldest cemeteries in Philadelphia and it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
