Manayunk

Manayunk is a neighborhood in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is located on the western bank of the Schuylkill River, about 10 miles northwest of downtown Philadelphia. Manayunk was originally a small village inhabited by Lenape Native Americans. In the 18th century, the village was settled by German immigrants. Manayunk became a thriving industrial center in the 19th century, with mills and factories lining the Schuylkill River. Today, Manayunk is a popular shopping and dining destination, with many bars and restaurants located on Main Street. The neighborhood is also home to a variety of shops and businesses. Manayunk is a historic neighborhood with a vibrant community feel.  The neighborhood is located on a steep hill, and many of the homes are Victorian-style houses.  Manayunk is also home to a number of galleries and art studios.  The area was the home to famous Bike Races and is seen in the movie Creed 2 and Pretzel Park and the Manayunk Canal are must sees when in the area.
