What is Spring Arts?

Philadelphia is known to have new names for neighborhoods that have always existed and Spring Arts fits this.  While today most call it Spring Arts, it is also called The Loft District, Spring Garden, Callowhill, West Poplar or Trestletown.  There are even some that will refer to the area as Chinatown North.  The section is now known for art and design with tons of murals and co-working space that are occupied in these old factory buildings that have been turned into office spaces and condos.

The highlight of Spring Arts is the Philadelphia Rail Park which many don’t know about, but we are very excited about.  The concept is to build a three mile greenway that spans over 10 Philadelphia Neighborhoods.  It will run from Northern Liberties to Fairmount Park.  Phase one of the park is currently open and it will expand soon.

The old factories that are now condos are breathtaking and are drawing tons of people to want to live there.  The Rail Park showcases the industrial revolution that took place here with tons of art, restaurants, music venues and brew houses.  While, everyone is talking about the Sixers potential move to Center City, this is the project we are most excited about!
